What lenth of Stage 8 header bolts?

I am about to order some stage 8 locking header bolts should I get the 3/4" or 1" length bolts? I have percy's seal 4 good gaskets on there but the bolts keep backing out. If I reuse these gaskets should I pull them out and clean them off before I put these bolts on? Thanks for the help.

either will work. I use stage 8 3/4" long by 3/8" bolts. Just put a set on my 88 Friday.

how thick is your header flange the holes in the heads are usually 3/4 deep?

I think the flange is 3/8" in. and the gasket is 1/8" in. I keep leaning towards the 1" but having them too long will take away the reason for getting them.

Stock length is 3/4" if I recall.

I used the Stage 8 3/4" long bolts for my BBK headers (3/8" flange), FEL-1415 gasket, in AFR heads.

I have a 3/8 flange on my BBK's and the 3/4 bolts that BBK sent felt to short but they work. I will be buying some 1" ones

Yeah I felt like the 3/4" inch ones are too short as well. I ended up ordering the 1" ones, I will post how it goes when I put them on later on this week. I have been strictened with exhaust leaks for a while now and am ready to be rid of it. It just murders the performance which makes the car not as fun to drive.

I have the Ford Motorsports Headers and the Flange was pretty thick, I went with the 1" Long ones.
