is it illegal to have tinted headlights and/or taillights on your car? btw im up in massachusetts. its time to replace the repro lights (again) and dont want to buy something that will earn me the big red R come inspection time. thanks
In mass. it is illegal to have any portion of the tail light to be tinted to the point where the red is no longer visible of the color of the casing. On the headlight it is illegal to diminish the brightness of the light exiting the lens.
Basically you can tint the tail lights as long as the red of the plastic is still visible. And as for the head lights, you cannot tint them, but you can buy head lights that are already smoked.
