what oil to use??

though this might be a waste of a post, i just want some opinions from all you out there. i have a 99 35th anniversary edition with a procharger. i am currently getting a t&j longblock with stage 2.5 head porting along with his new cam. ive always used conventional oil in the car, and now with the new motor going in, i was wondering if i should stay with conventional or go to a synthetic. i should be pushing around 550-600hp, with that in mind what oil do you recommend and what weight? thanks guys!!

probably synthetic would be a good idea. i would suggest mobil 1 5w30 or else 0w40 to give a little more protection. amsoil, redline, and rp are all good oils though. just stay away from pennzoil or quaker state, and dont use a fram filter. use either motorcraft, k&n, mobil 1, or amsoil filter.
