Is there anyway you can list out what you think so I don't miss anything. Sorry I'm new to this and I just want to be sure that it's done right.Buy yourself a new oil pump and shaft, new lifters, water pump, timing chain, etc. All wear items and all relativity inexpensive.
No I just bought the car and was changing water pump and noticed all the rtv beside the timing cover. They rtv the broken chunk of the block back in placeRefresh my memory here. Was it yours that had the broken balancer, hence the reason for the new short block?
Its a new LRS shortblock with cast pistons.Are those cast or forged pistons? New or reman rods?
I'm kind of lost. If you are planning on swapping out internals why buy the short block? You could have bought a JY explorer motor for $250, sell the top end for what you paid for the whole motor and then built your own short block with a decent kit from CHP or Woody and machined the block. That way you know what is in the motor- all new parts that you picked.
