What power steering fluid to use?

I recently bought the Borgeson steering kit for my '67 coupe, I got the one without the saginaw pump since I already have a new bendix pump. I'm wondering what fluid do I use with this setup? The bendix pump says only automatic trans fluid but the instructions that came with the kit say "clean P/S fluid." Well clean P/S fluid can mean a lot of things.

I know someone recently did the borgeson conversion and used the original pump, what fluid did you use?

I used a quality "power steering fluid" It is clear not red. I cant remember what brand. A pump is a pump, the "ATF only" was for the old power ram. It only took 1 quart for me.

yep, a good quality power steering fluid will do just fine.

Power steering and ATF fluid is hydraulic oil.

Thanks for the info, I just needed to check before I fill up the pump. I'll probably buy 2 quarts of P/S fluid, use half of one to flush out the pump and whatever is left to fill up the system.
