when i am idling, if i turn the wheels from full left to full right, there are about 3-4 noticeable clicks coming from the front end. it vibrates enough that i can feel it in the steering wheel.

it worries me a little because it sure sounds like something bad it happening up there.

i am sure it happens when the car is moving too, but it is much harder to notice it.

any thoughts?

It might be your steering rack bushings. I still need to change mine (turn the wheel from one lock to the other sitting still and there is a noticeable "creaking" noise).

this is more like a click/pause/click/pause/click type of noise, not a creak. like maybe 4 or 5 clicks, not the same every time.

i heard that tie rods make a long slow creaking noise when you turn the wheels, kind of like a door that needs oiling. that is not the sound i am hearing.
