As soon as the weather gets above 50 again I'm going to install my new steering wheel and 3-point seatbelts. After that, on the occasional warm days I'll start tackling some of the (very few) rust problems.

In the spring, I'm going to pull out old Sadie's engine and start rebuilding it so I can put it in new Sadie.

Hmm...
Get the 302+C4 built. Find a 9" to rebuild. Install my free and brand new Granada setup. Then a new coat of paint is going down.

I also want to get a new Steering wheel, '66 GT350 tach, and console w/ cd changer controls put in, but those are small projects in comparison.

engine swap in my falcon, 250/C4 in place of a 170/3spd.

engine swap in my fairmont, 289/C4 or AOD in place of 3.3/C4

mustang build up, 351w/4spd

perhaps one day i might build my own airplane. havent decided on what engine i will use to power it, perhaps a subaru, vw, or even a ford depending on what i decide to build.

Next project?
I'm still trying to get back to my "current" two......reskinning "sally's" pass door, and re-painting the 6.............Once warmer (and dryer) weather comes I have the complete rear suspension, including "new" 8" rear to install, finish the brakes (includes replumbing everything), run new fuel line, put some new rubber on her wheels and get her off the stands for the first time in two years!

Same projects from my past?

'90 Isuzu Amigo

This is my everyday driver (with 185k) so it's health is a priority since it's 22 miles one way to work. This weekend I redid the rear brakes, and found some other problems I need to fix.

Leaky rear seals:
I need to break down the original rear axles (I bought a spare rear end and those axles are in it now hoping their seals were better, they weren't) and put some seals on them as the rear end had leaked at the seals and I think the grease level is so low, it has little to nothing left to leak out. The gears whine terribly, but I have a spare rear pumpkin to put in one the seals are replaced.

Exhaust:
Almost the whole exhaust system is rotted out or close to it. It's a 4 cyl. with the exhaust on the driver's side. It runs down the side of the tranny tunnel then takes a 90^ turn over the driveshaft then another 90^ turn to the rear to the cat then a big sweeping 150^ turn back to the point it crossed the driveshaft and goes back over the driveshaft while making another tight 150^ turn to go back up to the resonator, then over the rear axle and out the driver's side corner. It rotted off right behind the resonator which is the high point under the truck. When warming the truck up of the morning, the carbon monoxide can't escape out from under the truck and seeps up thru the rusted out holes in the floor which brings me to the next fix....

Rusted out floor:
Need to fix the rusted holes above the frame rails in the rear floorboards. Bad deal about this is the fact it's rusted out at the point where multiple layers of steel are welded together, so I'm going to have to cut out much more than the hole itself to fix it right. I'm not worried about originality, so I'll probably just hammerform some sheet steel and cut out the offending area, weld the new in and epoxy prime and undercoat under the truck and the next project....

Bedliner the whole floor of the truck inside.

Yeah, well, it still could be!
I'm still thinking a 4-cyl/auto Fox body for Jessie Although, she seems to want a truck; so, maybe a 4cyl/auto Ranger

If I could pull that off, then yeah, I'd take over Cleo
Hmmmm, Performer RPM under the Holley? Nice, free-flowing yet relatively quiet dual exhuast. Re-do the interior (maybe a little more in the front seats. New front fenders (inner and outer). Re-learn to MIG well enough to replace the rear quarets and tailight panel.

If I end up with Cleo before getting wheels for Jessie; she is (or more correctly, they are) getting a Motorcraft 2150 (and an undersized one at that!) on top of the stock manifold!

Ahhhhhh, that 5.3 seems to do all right. Besides, given the present situation, maybe how about building up an early 70's 9" rear axle for it

She keeps complaining about wanting a deisel, so..... maybe find a flipped 2500 and kinda yank a few parts for her truck.... And the 9" sounds great. but I still have to convince her.
