What RPM's is my stock tranny Designed to shift at?

So I'm working with my sniper stuff and raising the stock redline which I found out was 5800rpm and would like to raise the WOT shift points on the tranny to 6200.

I wan't to be precise and don't know at exactly what rpm my tranny is scheduled to do it's different shifts at right now. My Sniper stuff doesn't give me the choice of entering the rpm...say 5800,5900 etc etc... The fields are +100, +200, etc etc. So that's why i need to know where they are stock...

no.... the shift point should be where the car's horsepower peaks. its literally pointless to rev any far past that, youll be doing more harm than good, and might even slow you down if u go too far past and start dipping off into a higher rpm and lower HP curve. I see you have VT st.II cams, so look at your dyno sheet, wherever the HP curve reaches its peak, thats where u shift. If it keeps climbing after your redline, then shift right before you reach fuel/spark cut for optimal performance.

um..your wrong... optimal shift points would be about 10% past peak hp. So if you make peak power at 5k you would want to shift at 5500. And with some breathing mods, I could see him shifting at 6k maybe even 6200. A stock pi engine is supposed to make peak power at 5250 so stock shiftpoints would be like 5800-6k. with exhuast,tb,plenum,tuner I would imagine it would be beneficial to shift at 6200.

Well if you have all the mods in you sig especialy cams, that will throw off your peak power. You need to get the car on the dyno and see where it makes peak power at. You cant just go off of stock power or even guess at where your at, you need solid numbers.
