i was looking at possibly getting the holly systemax or the trick flow, or either getting a set of aft 165 with an e- cam or a trick flow stage one cam. i already have a cobra intake and some 1.7 roller rockers. im ready to order, but the only problem that im having is which is the best bang for the $ and which will give me more power? please give me your thoughts. thanks!

You allready have a Cobra intake so go with the AFR's. You won't notice much of a difference from going with a trick flow or holley intake from your cobra. Yes there will be some more power from a different intake, but the heads will give you a lot more compaired to swapping intakes.

Defiantly do the heads. You won't get a huge difference between the intakes. The stock E7 heads are the most restrictive things on our cars. As for the cobra intake I would just get to lower ported to match the AFR heads.

Actually the stock intake is

Yes, go with heads next. And a cam, of course!

Definetely go with the heads. And may I suggest a custom cam from FTI if you're going to bother to put on in.

JD's and FTI seem to be where everyone is getting the AFR's. Don't go with a E-cam. They are about 10 years old. Although they do produce excellent numbers for what they are, there are much better out there. If you are going for a daily driver type set up with a little bit of umph, the TFS stage 1 is a great choice - it's a very mild cam. If you are going for something more extreme look into Comp, Crane, and Lunati. If you are looking for something specific out of the car, call a custom cam guy.
