what shifter should i get

Like everyone else said. Anything is an upgrade from stock. I have a Pro. 5.0
with UPR trick stick, nice combo. I also use the stock shifter knob.

That is why I went with Hurst. I have used them before, I like them, anything is better than stock and I got the Shifter, the White Shifter Ball and a kewl emblem for $200 shipped!!

dont know anything about the hurst but i got the tri-ax and i love it, the pro-5.0 is definitely more racy and if you arent going to race a lot then its kinda overkill cuz the steeda is a lot more comfortable imo, and i havent missed a shift yet. several friends have a pro-5.0 and first thing they say when they sit in my car is how much they love the position of my shifter, but i do agree that 5.0 with tri-ax handle is the best combo if u got the cash, cuz its gonna be a little more pricey.

I actually dont like the Pro-5.0. The steeda Tri-ax is angled better towards the driver and it also "springs" better into 3rd Gear. Thats just my $.02.

Same here, except a black 'fatknob' shift ball (with the shift pattern in white, just in case I forget! ) I, too, couldn't be happier. I love the feel of the Pro-50 and the look of the big shift ball...classic!

I have the upr billet shifter, identical design as the steeda triax. I drove a freinds 99 cobra with the triax and mine with the upr piece and was happy that I saved $40 cause the felt identical. I got the fat knob but wasnt happy with it, had the white one but it didnt match the white face guages, its more of an off white color, more like a cue ball, in fact I beleive that is what they do, take pool balls and drill them out and say here is a shift knob. same size and color. I have the bullit shift knob now and love it but man does it get hot in the summer time, got to run the ac for a while before you touch it or cover it up when you get out of the car.

ive got a steeda triax wit roush shifter handle and knob. its comfortable as hell. i can shift and never take my arm off the center console. oh and it look old school as a mug

I got a B&M and I love it......real short shifts and its way shorter than the tri-ax. My buddy has the tri-ax and I like my B&M better. I'm taller tho and you gotta reach a lil with the B&M, but for me B&M is my fav.

Installed the tri-ax yesterday, and WOW!! I think anything is better than OEM.

install isnt a problem, i installed my tri-ax in about 15-20 minutes and most of that was getting my MRT shifter ball to the perfect position. In my opinion its the first thing you should do to any mustang, it makes driving so much more enjoyable, good luck and have fun on which ever you choose

I agree, install is a snap 20-30 minutes tops, and soooooooooo much more enjoyable.
