I recently put a SLP LoudMouth Cat-back system on my '99 GT and I am trying to figure out what my next step should be. Should I get just a catted H-pipe, or get headers and an H-pipe all at once?

One random question....what octance gas do you all put in your cars? I usally run 89 and then a tank of 93 once a month or so.

Have you considered getting an X pipe? It's all personal preference, but a lot of people think that X pipes sound better with straight through mufflers.

well, the higher octane gas only prevents detonation, really running it like that will have very little benifit. i run 93 becuase thats what my car is tuned for.if you get long tubes and a shorty catted mid you will be happy.

If you got the money you should get both at once. Headers are a difficult install I hope you know.

You got the SLP cat back. Might as well run full SLP all the way.

I had access to a fully outfitted shop and it was still a PITA. Make sure you have plenty of extensions, universal sockets, and someone with long skinny arms. Go with what ever brand you like, just remember to get the right length x-pipe or h-pipe(i.e. one made for long tube headers.) Have patience during the install. If you can get a set, ratcheting wrenches help alot.
