I have a 95 gt with underdrive pullies, cold air intake, 3.73 gears. I have around 7K to spend on the motor. i want somthing driveable but somthing that has around 400hp. what should i do next? i don't know how to pull the motor or install it so i will have to have somebody do all that stuff so figure that in.
whatever you do just be conservative with your budget because we all run into snags and you want to have the money to finish
what would I do .....
nice driveable 400 hp
trick flow heads..
1.6s
Holley systemax intake
Fox 75 accufab TB conversion
Vortech S trim 10 pounds
anderson power pipe
anderson blower cam
injectors
fuel pump
tune
your 3.73s will work great
long tube headers with exhaust of your choice.
you will sell your pullies
this will be a stoput combo and put you easy low 12s on radials
my car that would run mid 11s
I'm really new to this stuff. I used to be the big truck kind of person and then i went into the mustang thing and i started small with the stuff i mentioned and then i went to the drag strip with a friend and i'm obessed now but i don't know much about this stuff can you use more detail like what size fuel pump what are the anderson things what is a 1.6 vortech s trim 6 lbs. it prob looks like i'm an idiot but i'm only 18 and haven't been in this car thing for to long
another route would just be heads intake and turbo kit from proturbo kits.... I would do this if you had a reputable tuner in your area. this route you dont have to worry about buying any additional exhaust....
a 347 with some 10.0+ compression AFR 185s and a holley systemax is a STOUT all motor combo
a comp xe282hr cam does well with this. as does the comp xe274hr
You can order up a custom grind too if you like.
the f cam is just an out dated cam. Its single pattern design and slooow ramp rates are just not good for a low compression motor with stock heads or todays aftermarket heads.
and if you put it in now it will kill your valve springs and your computer will have a heart attack
