What should I do???

Well it is winter time and the Mustang is garaged and ready to be worked on. Now I just have to figure out what I want to do. Help me out a little with some suggestions.

1. I could rebuild the engine and do a heads/ custom cam/intake swap, AODE to T5 swap, suspension, and all the other bolt ons.

2. I could build a 347 with H/C/I, AODE to GFORCE T5 swap and wait to do the suspension some other time when I have more money.

I have about $8k to work with. What would you guys do and why? I will be using this car mainly on the street as a fun nice weather weekend car and probably go to the track a few times just to see what it runs.

Any help would be great because I have been debating all this for about a month and still have no idea which way I want to go.

Thanks :SNSign:

I'm just going to add a bit to what I said to emphasize my point

If you were to go with a 347, you would have a nice fast engine, with plenty of fun 'ol torque. we all want this!

However, you will also have (more) chassis flex

you will put a harder strain on your entire drivetrain...clutch, transmission, rear end. You will still have a crappy ride, which will be further accentuated by the new power

If you were to do an HCI with the grip box...sure, you would probably have 50-75 less RWHP...but would track times be that much different?

I'm betting they wouldn't (maybe 3 tenths)...and if you enjoy the twisties...well...let's not even go there

Plus it gives you an excuse to clean up the nasty underbody that has been accumulating dirt and road grime for the last 12 years. and finally...the car will be SAFER
