Hey guys new member here, anyways i bought my pony from a guy who said the previous owner slid it into a fence or something. The hood is all scratched up and the fender has had better days. What are some options? Scratches are through the paint it looks like. Id like to post a picture but it seems they are to large because it wont let me load any. Car is Laser Red. Thanks

Sounds like a good excuse for a body kit. Try reducing your picture resolution in Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop.

The only thing that is going to fix that is a repaint bro.

i figured that, but i didnt know if there was some kind of magical fix that didnt cost as much as paint. Oh well, i went to oriellys to price some paint, for two quarts of everything it was like over 700 bucks. is that reasonable?

Rather than a full repaint, you might consider locating a fender and hood from a parts car... the match would probably be better, and the cost could certainly be pretty close if you shopped long enough. Laser red was a popular color, so you've got that on your side.

Try junkyards too, we have a yard close to me that has nothing but Ford vehicle parts and they have literally hundreds of Mustang parts. It's crazy.

They are on the web too www.texasautosalvage.com
