What Should I Expect To Pay?

I'm looking to buy my 2nd Mustang sometime by the end of this year early next year. I'm looking at 96 thru 98 cars since I already have 94 5.0. I see some for sale around places for anywhere from 3 to 8k and up that don't ever seem to sell and some that are pretty clean not draw any buyers at 3K. These are cars with less than 200k miles GT of course and 5 speed.

I'm seeing a couple that I would probably offer around $2500 for, am I off base with my price? I realize these cars don't bring the bucks that the 5.0 cars or especially the Fox cars bring but just want to make sure my meter is calibrated in the right direction.
