I am debating on my budget build. I have found a couple Aluminum d/s for $150 but I realize that is not going to really help me on performance. So should I:

A: Buy the alum. d/s
B: Save the money for a tweecer
c: Get a bigger MAF and 24lb injectors

or anything else that might help me, I have approx 200-250 to spend and would have the money to buy the base tweecer by the middle of november.

x2 if you want to learn how to use it properly. You'll be money ahead. Plus it's almost winter, you have plenty of time to research.

+1, but keep saving for the R/T. If your serious about tuning, it is the only way to go.

I would also throw out the idea of a shifter...

I think that I am going to get the tweecer, can I buy the base and upgrade to the r/t later.

Yes, but I think it is $190 or $195.... I looked at this route and the R/T function is SOOOO critical that you will be lost without it... Just email them and they will tell you the exact cost...

You want the R/T model if you are serious about self tuning.

Since you have a convertible some subframes would be HUGE.

Yeah I am going to order subframes next week. I am going to be right by blueovalindustires with my work on Sunfday but they are closed was going to pick up there and save shipping cost. I think I may just save for the RT b/c by the time I buy a base and then go have it tuned I am almost at the cost of the r/t model.

Thanks

Sounds like a plan. You'll like the subs.

In the meantime on the twEECer, you can download the software and start learning it. That'll keep you busy a good long while.

The basic Tweecer will allow you to make some changes
and
While that is fun .. it is SO limited ... Well ... its hard to explain

kinda like this

Its fun to hug and kiss a girl
but
To stop at that level and go no farther

The basic Tweecer is just that ... hugs and kisses ... and ... No More

You want the RT for sure :Word:

Go ... All The Way

Grady is trying to say he doesn't like to run the 1/8mi, he likes to run the 1/4, powershifting the whole way with good rubber.

I talked to my mother-in-laws, boyfriend and he works a metal shop, so he is going to get me some 14 gauge 1.5 x 2 box tubing to make my subframes and some angles for it so al it will cost me is the welding cost. How long are subframes? I tried to measure underneath the car and came up with around 6ft

Also kinda off topic for this thread, but BBK unequal lenth shorties for $50, is that a good price? And I may be wrong, but is the only difference between fox and sn95 the egr hookup?

I think that might be one of the best analogies I've seen.

Definitely get the Tweecer first and the R/T version. It was the first thing I bought for my car and I don't regret it one bit.
