what size engine?

I tend to agree with everyone else... I think we all would love to throw a big dual carb 427 in our stangs but....realistically it just doesnt seem to make much sense...although you could get 500 hp with ease out of the 427. The trade off in weight for one. is not good also the lack of fuel injection and the loss of computer engine management. Also having to redo pretty much the entire drive train fuel and exhaust just seems like to much to change.

Or you could spend all that cash you a forged 4.6 Short block some good stage 2 heads and cams and blower at 14lb of boost and make 600hp.

Cost would be roughly the same...and you dont have to redo your entire car.


But...it is your car..do as you wish.

Stick with the 4.6, but go with DOHC.Thats what I plan do do after my car hits 100-150K.Im am not going to pay 25K for a car and then ditch the engine after 36K miles.To me thats just foolish, so I am just going to buy a SC for it after 36K so I can get some use out of it.
