What size exhaust tips?

I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I have a 99 V6 (I know this is the GT forum) I am getting a new exhaust system for it and I still need to order some tips. Whats a good size tip for a New Edge stang? Pics would be great as well. My car is black but any color pics would be fine.

i say 3.5" tips, i wish i had pics but i plan on putting some on my ride here soon.


as for length, all you need is 12" because the bumper hides all but the ends of the tips

I think 3 1/2" tips fill out the exhaust cut-outs perfectly.

on my old 03 GT it had 4" tips that were 18" long and they looked great. I have pics if you want to see them but I am not sure how they would look with the V6 bumper.

Not sure what size they are, but I love my SLP tips. They are either 3" or 3 1/2".

Stock GT and Mach 1 tips are 3"

3.5" looks great.


See if you can get a GT rear bumper with cutouts though. I never liked the look of V6 bumpers with the tips sticking below it. It looked angled down too much

3.5" - 4.0" - the 4" would be kinda stupid if you have a V6 though, way more bark than bite

You'll need a GT bumper or it just wont look right, but heres what 4in look like on my '99 Cobra. I love 'em!!!

anywhere from 3-4 would be fine, but i would get a gt rear bumper.

just please dont get one that i can fit my basketball into and angle it at some insane angle so that your back bumperg et covered in black crap and when you wash the car you wash everywhere except where the black stuff is. ok, just kidding!

I say run dumps since its a V6 bumper, but if you get a GT bumper with cutouts, 3 1/2" are perfect....

here are my 3 1/2" SLP tips....

do dumps kill the sound at all or make it louder? I'll have to see how it fits I guess on what I do. I noticed flowmaster had 2 kits one that said it would clear a v6 bumper and one that wouldn't. I'm not sure how the summit one fits
