What size pipes on 99 GT?

Well the title explains most of it but im looking to buy some mufflers to put on my fairly modded 99 GT and I was unsure of what size the inlet and outlet should be on the mufflers. I thought that they should be 2.5 inlet and outlet but again I wasnt sure so I thought I'd ask. Thanks for any help.

The GT is 2.25"

The Cobra is 2.5"

GT stock its 2.25 but you do you have a cat-back then they should be 2.5 if you have a cat back though

nope no catback im just looking to have mufflers put in place of the factory ones. since they are 2.25 the mac mufflers and flowmaster super 40s in the parts section would both work right?

In the long run you'll end up wanting catback exhaust. I would save your money.

I thought the '05 GT was the first to have 2 1/2" exhaust? Everything before it had 2 1/4". Even the '03-'04 Cobra's came stock with 2 1/4" exhaust.

I am pretty sure Cobra exhaust is 2.5" but I have been known to be wrong occaisonally...

but if you get a catback go with 2 1/2 with 3 1/2 inch tips!
