are the water lines that go and from from the engine block to the heater core on a 72 with 351C 2v? It appears that mine were replaced at one point and the wrong ones were put in. I do not like where there run across the top of the Valve covers and want to re-route them. Since I have started replacing hoses in theengine bay with braided, I want to go that way with these. I need to make sure I get the right size the first time because as you know that stuff isn't cheap. I want to see if any vendors at Fall Carlisle sell the hose by the foot to save a bit.

I assume that is inside diameter. And do you know what size AN fitting that would take?

For each 16th of an inch you use a digit in the inches to AN conversion. So an -8AN is 1/2inch, your 5/8 would use a -10AN, and a 3/8 uses a -6AN.
