What spark plug wires do you guys run?

FYI: The AutoZone near my house sells Motorcraft plugs. Maybe yours does also if Napa does not have them. Worst case the Ford parts counter will have them for a buck or two extra per plug :(

I can't help you with SPW none of my recent Mustangs had them.

Screw you and your coil over design:p
I dont have an autozone around me, i know it's wierd. I had to go to Ford parts counter where it ended up being like $4.18 a SP, when amazon has them for $2.53:( Oh well, i bought them cuz im impatient even though having SPW and SP's comming in the mail at the same time woulda been nice. My car's cooling off now, tho i took one out (Autolite double platnum) and it looks pretty damn good if you ask me. No blue, white and hardly traceable amounts of black. Getting to the passenger side #3,4 is gunna be a bitch:)

and also, I bought the MotorCraft which from my knowlege is pre-gapped to .054, but i dont have a feeler gauge at this house. Should i be fine?
Just looking at the differences between the two, the AGSF has proly 2.5X more threads than the APP 764 Autolite

I just got back from driving, after fixing what was a loose connection/unsealed #3 SPW over spark plug, it runs really smooth under power. Good thing i have new FRPP SPW's comming in the mail, cuz i scraped the wire leading to the cap on hard to reach #4 which was sealed by the hand of god and required channel locks. I just wraped the small tear in the wire w/ 3 layers of eletrical tape. Should be fine for this week

I run the stock OEM Spark plug wires in my 96 TBird. I ran the FRPP wires in my car and I had issues with them. I am not the only one that had problems with the FRPP wires either and I will never run them again. Good luck with them, perhaps FRPP fixed the issue with them, but I will never know.

So the new plugs are in then?
yeah i had a misfire problem w/ them in at 1st, but the boot for the plug wasnt sealed, now they're perfect:nice:

Those are 5.0l plugs aren't they? I didn't know they worked in 2V heads...so i could run the AGSF-22C instead of the NGK TR6?

the AGSF wasnt designed for PI and NPI heads, but it has longer threads and will still fit correctly in our head, helping to secure it stronger than the suggested AWSF

I tried two sets of FRPP 9mm wires. They couldn't hang with the high heat of Las Vegas. Each set lasted no more than one year before the plastic connectors easily snapped off. I ended up with MSD 8.5mm Superconductors and they were fine for two years in Vegas and two more years here in Colorado's freezing winters. I also run NGK TR6 plugs.

hmm, that's good to know. Doesnt get over 100 degrees here more than 5 days a year tho.
BTW i ordered the SPW's from Summit Racing yesterday and they came this morning with standard $9 shipping! Imagine if I'd chose the top rate shipping, would they have popped through my monitor?

When I ordered my cat backs I found this guy on the internet that claimed 10% lower than anyone. He held his promise. After I ordered at regular ground shipment, I emailed him for a tracking number. He said that by the time he got the tracking number I would probably already have my shipment. He was right. The next day I have my cat back in large packages at my front door. Blew my mind that I got it within 48 hours!!!

:nice:
