I finally ordered my Vortech for my Bullitt and I should be installing it this weekend . My question is, what type of spark plugs should I go with and at what gap? Also, if you guys have any other suggestions about installing it, my ears are open.

Thanks!

My only suggestions would be:

1. Make sure your gas tank is nearly empty to make the install of the fuel pump easier
2. Have on hand the correct punch and tap so that you don't have to have the wife go to 11 different ace hardwares to find it while you're working
3. Have patience when massaging the A/C lines out of the way of the blower mount / housing
4. Call your tuner and have an appointment to get it tuned after your install so you don't have to wait a week or two for them to fit you in . . .
5. Be prepared to get some 12 second time slips

Yep, NGK TR-6's for me too. My tuner (Mike Murillo) said they're perfect for our set-ups.

I have no experience with the NGK's. I went with a set of AWSF-22C's (one heat range colder than stock)

Might opt out for a set of AWSFA 12C's (two heat ranges colder than stock) when I really start to spin this thing.

I stay away from platinum plugs and stick with the copper ones. They're better performing and cleaner burning. Who cares if they won't last 160,000km like the platinum ones do. Who actually runs that much mileage on a set of stock plugs anyway?

I installed the Iridium ones. KB recommended those. No problems, but were expensive.

How about a big set of ultra-macho Taylor 10.4mm wires.

http://store.summitracing.com/partd...908331+4294908282+4294924746+115&autoview=sku

.....and for just under $100, I might add.

Although you will need a set of these to go with them http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=TAY-42769&N=115&autoview=sku your stock ones won't cut it.

Very cool, I'm sure you'll like the look and power of it all. Just for giggles, I remembered someone over on TCCOA who's got the exact set up you're going for and though I've give you a preview as to how it would look.

It may be a T-Bird, but otherwise it looks like a mirror image of your (soon to be) set up.

....and in case you're wondering, he's making 454RWHP/393RWTQ.
