What subframe connectors? Convertible guys in here!

What subframe connectors are you guys using, especially convertible guys? I need to tighten up the handling quite a bit, and subframe connectors are the best way to start. (Just my opinion)

I don't have a convertible, but I love my Maximum Motorsports full-lengths!! The only other ones I'd consider are Global West, and those are more expensive. I got my MM full lengths for $144 shipped to my door which is the lowest price on them that I've found.

I don't wanna sound foolish but, how do the subframe connectors help you. I know the help with traction but how?

Well, their primary purpose is to make the chassis more rigid by providing a strong support between the front and rear subframes. That way when you go over bumps and rough road, the subframe connectors provide a rigid support instead of the chassis twisting and flexing. It helps maintain chassis integrity and also just generally keeps the car tight. By preventing the chassis from flexing, your actual suspension can do its job instead of the car's frame.

They also improve handling due to less body roll.

They did seem to help me with traction on launches, but a set of DR's would do a lot more than subframe connectors in that aspect.

Go to www.austinareastangs.com and look up tranny man jeff or the shop abt. Jeff does custon subframes for a pretty good price. He's is in round rock.

i wish i put my subframes on as a first mod.... totally changed the way the car handled. they only costed me $55 from UPR, i think there 89 in there catalog

Make sure you get the full length sub frames, I sure wish I had..

I run the global west full lengths on my car and I HIGHLY recommend them. All subframe connectors are not created equally. I hear good things about the MM stuff, but I wouldn't put anything other than the GW stuff on my car.

Check out the Kenny Brown Extreme Matrix Subframe System. It made a huge difference on my car.

Kenny Brown stuff in my car, Extrene matrix, g-load and strut tower - tighter than a coupe now, excellent results.
