acually paintstripper would work, and im bpretty sure that it wouldn't harm chrome in any way, just make sure u don't get it on anythign else...

what kind of paint is it? is it over spray from getting your car painted. or was the guy next door painting his house and gettting over spray on your car or rims? or were they painting new lines on the street?

but that also takes chrome off of chrome.

Is this overspray or a drip?

I own a body shop and I always use aircraft paint stripper and it never has harmed the chrome.

as long as its real chrome...(nickel plating). Go to Home Depot, and get a can of Acetone. Its the active ingredent in finger nail polish remover.

It will also disolve plastic...it is prefectly safe for metal...again..careful around any plastic.
