Hey guys, just wondering what you all see on your stock temp gauges? Right now I see NO MAL, I stay right around the "R" in NORMAL. Kinda makes me worry, but I do have some leaves between the A/C condensor and radiator. Going to try to spray those out. Going to change caps and thermostats, I was going to do this a couple weeks back but never did. Last resort will be ordering a new Griffin radiator. Just let me know your thoughts.

Mine doesn't go past the second line from the bottom on the stock gauge.

when it comes down to it do you really trust the stock guage? i would go with a autometer gauge and see what she says.

This topic came up about oil pressure gauges a while ago, and i think it was Mike Yount who said something about the stock gauges being made to only show extreme changes in what they're metering. In other words, the oil/temp/volt gauges don't respond to a damn thing unless it's threatening to your motor. If you're running hot by the stock gauge then you've definately got a problem. I'd suggest getting some sort of aftermarket gauge in the future (after you fix whatever the problem is) or even hook one up and see what it reads and compare the 2.

Yes you are correct sir. This is all because some people if they noticed the slightest change in the gauge reading would bring the car back to the dealer to be looked at

Dave, did i not just get done telling you this a day or two ago?

what you guys are talkin about in regards to what Michael said is hysterisis.
but that should not be confused with the change of aftermarket gauges' readings due to change in alternator output (the stock gauges have their own regulator to remove such variation).
