Im trying to setup up the valvetrain on my stang.....

stock cam, tfs 1.7 rockers, tfs tw heads.

EVERYWHERE I read I here that a 6.7-6.75 rocker is what I need. I happen to have some trick flow 6.7s here so I put them in.

1) They came to be waaaaay to short. When I put the rocker on, it just sits at the bottom of the stud and cant even reach the pushrod, making it pointless to even attempt to tighten it down seeing how it cant even go down any farther anyways.

2) I thought the 6.7 was a longer pushrod than stock? When I hold the 6.7 to the stock rod the 6.7 is shorter for sure.

3) When I put the stock rods in, I set all the valvtrain and everything seems to be ok, but stock rods would be to big correct?

4) What do you think? It is a rebuilt bottom end with 65k, if I have a nonstock pushrod size, I must have some sort of non stock camshaft?

I lost my adjustable pushrod, and I will order another if I cant come to a solution. how can i check to see if the rods in there right now are the right size? even with an adjustable pushrod? where do you messure to check and see if its the correct size?

Thanks in advance

Mock it up, color the tip of the valve with a marker, set them to 0 lash then 3/4-1/2 turn, , turn the motor over twice. Pull off the rocker, you should have a small pattern on the center on the valve, it will look like a flat head srew driver. The gap should not exceed .080" and when you are turning the motor over watch the valve tip. It should go towards the header then towards the intake. VERY IMPORTANT.

Thanks in advance
