I think Ive decided to stick with the ole 10 holes on my Coupe for the time being, seein that I cant find any decent 4 lug whels, but they desperately need tires. The ponys I had on it before they were stolen wore 245 BFGoodrich G Force sports which worked out real nice on the street and decently at the track. Im lookin for the same deal, somethin that will hook up half decently on the street with a HCI 5.0, more for safety but also for the times i decide to hit the go pedal and actually go lol. When it hits the track Ill be using my Mickey Thompson drag radials so no worries there. Any ideas? Sizes? Place to get them at?
Thanks!
Matt

225-50/15 or 225-60/15 are really your best options, and you can get the G-Force Sports in those sizes. 225-60/15 is actually the factory-correct size, IIRC. I believe BFG makes a 235-60/15 drag radial. You don't want to go too wide, those bad boys are only 7", so anything over 255-60/15 is counter productive, and the tire starts to get really tall, too.

yeah, im just wondering how well a 225 tire will handle the power when I go HCI and possible power adder...might FORCE me to go a different route wheel wise lol. Altho my 84 SVO had 225s on it and I loved em...

Yea, my car has G-Force Sport 225s and destroying rubber through 3rd gear is almost entirely unavoidable. But that's about the best you can do on 10-holes without going to drag radials or downgrading to Radial TAs, which are available in wider sizes (but only speed rated to 118 mph- the 'Sports are rated to 149 I believe). Also, consider that the SVO just isn't going to have the tire shredding low end torque the 302 can push.

My new wheels come in today, muoahahahaha. :nice:
