What to do to lower ETs?

Besides getting sticky tires. What do I need to do to lower my ETs? What suspension mods? Or what to take off for some weight reduction? What else am I leaving out that I can do? Thanks.

for your car.....

1. Drag radials
2. Weight reduction, Rear seat, passenger seat, spare tire/jack, front swaybar, strut tower brace(if you have one). Thats a good start.
3. Practice.

With your car, a little weight out of it, and Drag radials, your looking at 8.50-8.60's. The stock suspension is fine for now. A set of lakewood front struts and a set of lower control arms might help a bit, but Id worry on the other stuff first.

What about the rear sway bar?

when the tree starts counting down from double yellows, to the final yellow, as soon as the final yellow hits, start going...may take a little work to get your timing down, but you want you reaction time as close to .000 as possible, generally .100-.300 is pretty darn good. this will help you get good 60' times. reducing your 60' times every 1/10th of a second, helps you bring your ET's down 2/10th's of a second.

whether you cut a perfect light or sit there for 2 seconds, your 60' will still be the same...

Wrong....

RT(Reaction time) has zero effect on 60ft times or overall ET. RT has no effect on what your car will run. 1/10th on 60ft doesnt always equal 2/10's in overall ET gain. Its a general rule of thumb but can vary greatly depending on a number of things.

What tune do you have on your car??? If you don't have an aftermarket tuner I would do that first... the X3 is a good one.

his car is tuned, and thats the least important thing to do on a NA 2v with stock cams. There are quite a few NA 2v's with the stock tunes in the mid/upper 12's.
