OK so i have my 383 in my Car running without a chip. No check engine light. I have an EGR from a FOX car plugged in with a vacuum hooked up sitting behind the engine so now the computer seems happy.

I have some MAC hi flow Cats on an H Pipe that was for a FOX car. Im going to be cutting them off the old pipe and welding them into my exhaust. Do i need to also run a smog pump tube to dilute the exhaust? I set the timing at 10 degrees.

Anyone think that this motor with cats will pass emissions? No smoke of any kind out the tail pipe. When warmed up it smells slightly rich but thats prob. because of me not having cats on there.

I don't really care about passing the visual....I just want to pass emissions.
BTW i have a MSD Coil and 6AL box if that matters.

Get the cats on it. Then pull the timing (pull the spout) and run some Guaranteed to Pass.

You'll probably pass.

i have cats and no egr. i passed 2 of the three, failing on HCs. people say if i dilute it with a little rubbing alcohol, like a bottle in 1/4 tank, that it will probably pass.
