What to do w/ 1K $ and a 04 GT ?????????

I have a 04 GT with 2,400 miles on it and a thousand dollars to spend on it. I already have a CAI, and Steeda shifter installed. What would be the best bang for a little budget???

quality cams AND springs with a tune and if theres any $ left over get urself some gears

EDIT: well cams and crap only work right if u have a good exhaust...i say get an exhaust and new midpipe and cams...or get gears and exhaust

Gears, Midpipe!

If I were you actually, I'd get the Bilstein BTS and some other suspension upgrades. But I'm a suspension freak.

no catback, just mufflers if you want a different tone...most aftermarket exhaust have that "rust really quick" aluminized coating and the stainless steel ones (borla, magnaflow, etc.) are expensive, plus theyre still dont match the durability of the stock stainless steel exhaust system. no offense to anyone who owns a complete aftermarket catback, but its just not worth it in the long run.

Sub frame connectors should be first, Your car will feel so solid with them on...then Gears... If any $$ left over put that towards the cat-back fund or spring/shock fund to get ride of the 4x4 look.

I agree with most everyone else. Gears and x pipe. If you can't stand the gas prices right now, then catback instead of gears. DIY (x pipe & catback)!

The best bang will be gears. Use what is left for subframe connectors. If you have any change, put it into the 'exhaust fund' and get some good catbacks and midpipe.

What I would do

1. Steeda sport springs - $200
2. Magnaflow "Magnapack" catback - $400
3. FRPP 3.73 or 4.10's - $200
Install the springs and catback yourself, use the $200 leftover to get the gears installed.

I would have to do:

373's
high flow xpipe
subframes

the hpipe is the most restrictive part of the stock exhaust. the catback will get you the tone but your not gonna get big HP gain with stock motor.

I wish I had that 1K to spend right now cause I need longtubes and xpipe in the worst way. I opted to go the charger route first and everything else after so I only have a catback on my car right now that I picked up real cheap. gotta get my car to breathe some.....
