What to do with 1,000$

i have a stock 1990 302 a guy gave me... it has 39,000 miles on it.. i also have1,000$ what should i do.... ?i want to rebuild this motor and im looking for the best bang for my buck... now my father is a manager at an Advanced Auto Parts... so i get discount. but i was thinkin freshin up the bottom end and just buy rpm intake, rpm cam, rpm 2.02 1.60 valve heads.. and thats all... but i wanted ur opinion. so help a guy out...

i wouldn't even think about rebuilding that motor!

I highly doubt that motor would need rebuilt unless it had some very hard use or ran low on oil. I highly doubt your going to get all of that with a grand even with a good discount. I would either get a set of heads or go with a intake/cam/exhaust to get you going. 2.02/1.60 is probably going to be a little much much flow for what you would have. Are you goign to run carb or f.i.? If you are goign to run carb. on that motor i would switch out your distributor from your 84 and use a steel gear. I would also swap out your timing chain cover so that you can use your mechanical fuel pump.
