so i just got a vic efi intake, got the engine on the stand and im checking everything out.
it appears that i will not be able to run the hard coolant lines because it hits the #1 injector. it looks like if the hole were a 3/8 of an inch further outboard the lines would clear perfectly. wonder why edelbrock made it that way. there is a reason im sure.
is there a way to run these lines or are they really not needed?
if they are not needed then what do i do with the sensor thats mounted in the hard line?
also do i just plug the hole in the intake where the hard line goes into the front near the thermostat housing or do i get an adapter to mount that sensor in that hole?
if i run that sensor in that hole or plug it then where does the other coolant line run that comes off the water pump?
im hoping im overlooking something really simple here, ive been paceing in the garage for about an hour trying to come up with something but im at a loss and i need some advice.
also if it means anything my heater core is shot so the rear of the hard lines is just looped anyways.
there are 2 holes in the coolant passage on the front, there is a sensor in that hole as well inwhich i have not looked it up but im almost positive thats the temp sensor. so what is the switch thats mounted in the hard lines? doesnt make any since to have 2 switchs for the same thing unless they are bouncing information back and forth to verify it is correct?? i know im reaching here but im lost.
^^^here are the 2 sensors, what do i do with the one in the hardlines if i remove the hardlines all together and am i not right that the one thats in the manifold on the right side of the pic is the temp sensor?
