i think new headlights would make a huge difference. looks like a nice car, but the lights look really old, new lights and some new wheels and it'd be a new looking car. i'd get lights, before tint for sure, but what about subframe connectors if you don't already have them? best mod for under $200...

Beg her for $300.00 dollars more and look in your local CL and find a used set of 4 lug cobra rims. They would make that car look SO MUCH better you wouldn't be able to believe it... And it would ditch the "Hey check out the car i got my grandma for xmas" look I'm sorry but those phone dial rims look terrible on every mustang, not just yours.

I bought the $80 set from 50resto.com
Here are some pics of mine before and after new headlights.

Before

After

Wheels help a little too...
but I can see alot better too.

BTW that Cobra grill looks nice.

Onefstsnake's pictures are like the ones on those weightloss commercials. The first one is a crappy shot, and the car's just hanging out on the side of the driveway. The second one is a much better shot, and the car's like look at me with meh shiney new wheelz and meh ricecorner headlightz! I WTFPWNZ this driveway!

Anyway if you're going for an exterior mod, I agree with MustangOwner. I think you should save up and buy some new wheels.

Before I even read any replies, I was thinking, "forget headlights and tint, save up for some rims!" My vote would be for a used set of Draglites.

+1 for save the money and get some wheels.

Personally, I would get something other than the cobra R's though, I think they're over played. I'm a big fan of the "pop bottle" wheel myself, which is why I went with the 01 bullits. Don't get me wrong, if you like the R's then get'em, I'm just saying that they're so popular I've seen honda's and minivan's with 'em so they've kind of lost their "wow those are nice wheels" effect.

You're other option would be gears, for the most bang for the buck. If you have the know how you could put them in yourself and do it for close to $200.

If you go with headlights and don't want stock, get the one piece, they look so much better than the diamond clears. I bought my diamond's just before the one piece came on the market and if I would have known about them I would have waited for them. My 88 is going to get the one piece headlights.

There is alot of Cobra rims on Mustangs because they are a good looking rim period! And you bought the bullets....if you were saying that they aren't popular...they come on like how many cars stock now? They are all over the place. And that rim isn't even that good looking. Thats why there are so many "stock take offs" for sale. You see alot more bullit rims around then you do Cobra R's

LOL yea the pics are a little different. But the difference the headlights made is pretty noticable.

yeah thats what I got. their headlights are kinda a pain to adjust though. I was told the OEM ford headlights are much easier to adjust properly.

but for $80 who cares lol.

Are you high?

I would like to know where you see more bullit rooms around then cobra r's, IM not bashing cobra r wheels at all, but for christs sake, everybody and their momma's mustang has cobra r's. There is probably a 5 to 1 ratio of cobra r to bullit wheels

get the 6pc clears. they really make a white car pop.

you could also see about polishing the 10 holes, then they will really stand out
