What to keep from old motor?

Well....i'll take a guess and say you'll probably need the little oil pressure sending unit thing...not many crate motors come with those (if you're getting a crate). Might wanna call the maker or whoever you're getting it from and ask them?

As far as storing untill the new motors goes in....do you mean your car or the old motor?

I mean storing the parts I take off like if any of them need to be in oil or anything like that. It is just going to be a short block not a create. The parts I was thinking I need to keep was the oil sending unit, water sending unit, fuel rail, fuel injectors, the roller lifters?, the things that go around the roller lifters, the brace that is in the oil valley, the oil pump shaft, timing cover, cam bolt and retainer. Is there anything else or even some of these items instead of saving maybe I should buy new?
