what to use on black plastic trim peices?

hey i have a 93 gt. and some of the black plastick trim peices are fading, what can i use to darken them back up? i am talking mostly about the black plastic peice under the window and around the quarter windows. is there anything that will work without taking them off and painting them?

You may try the NXT rubber/trim care products. I've used it on my tires and on the trim on my car and it does a good job.

If you want long lasting, as in a dye product, go with Forever Black.....Applies with a shoe polish type applicator....Doesnt wash off or fade....
Quick blackening agents like Black Again, will wash away or fade after 2 washes.....

I do detailing work, I find Maxigloss works really well for all types of trim. The only thing is I've never used it on my car, cuz I've never had to so I dont know how long it lasts. I never had a customer come back and complain yet though..

I've never seen maxigloss, but I've seen forever black. I used a similar shoe polish type trim stuff on my ford probe, and had great results. You have to mask off the paint, and windows and stuff though, because it will stain that stuff. You're going to end up doing some cleaner wax atleast if you get some on there. It worked GREAT! The trim was all faded and had wax on it, so it made it look white almost lol, this made it look brand new. Im tempted to do it to my mustang.

Mothers "Back to Black". Thats what I use and it works great.

Maxigloss you might have to get from a company called vesco oils, but i would agree with the above with mothers, ive never used it, but nothing made by mothers has ever let me down.

and I make three. I accidentally got some wax on the black molding of my daily driver and after trying quick detailers, wd-40, armor all products, etc...
I tried back to black and it works wonders. It has been over a month with frequent washes and no more fading.

I use Mothers back to black on all my detailing jobs. Alot of the other stuff seemed to wash off. The back to black lasts about as long as a wax job. I did my car about a month ago and everything is still nice and dressed.
