I am going to the junk yard in the next day or two to get axles and a complete brake setup from a 94-98 mustang. I was hoping someone could give me a list of tools I'll need (or atleast the ones that I may not think of)?

I'm gonna take my power pack and a dc-ac inverter to power an elec impact to speed things up. Also gonna have basic hand tools, basic sockets in metric/sae and a needle nose. The yard is an hour away so I don't want to be stuck without the one tool I need (especially since no one speaks english down there!).

Buddy of mine pulled one out of a Tbird and just cut everything....the shocks, control arms, sway bar....took like 5 minutes to get it out

if you are just after the axles then hand tools should be fine. You would have to remove the rear cover and you would need a pair of needle nose to grab the C clips but the axles should just slide out of the housing after you remove the 4 retainer bolts at each end. This also hold on the caliper mounts.

One more question: I've seen some pics lately of antimoan brackets that are held onto the axle tube with u-bolts. The brackets on my Turbo Couple are welded (if I remember correctly). What about the 94-98 mustang pieces? Do I need to plan a tool to cut them off?

You will need a torch to heat the bolt in rearend because it has locktight on
it and you will round the head off if you don't heat it. The 5/16" bolt inside
rear end holding the little shaft.
