I am fixing to get a triax to replace the crappy mac shifter that is on my car and figured I would change the fluid while i was in there. what does everyone use or recommend? stock t5. i know it uses atf
I have used red line and I am currently using syncromesh. I will be going back to the redline tranny fluid the tranny seemed to shift just a bit better with it.
In my old T5 I used just ford ATF. I always hear of people having problems shifting when they switched to synthetic. In my TKO however, all I run is GM synchromesh, which is what TTC/Tremec recommends. If you use anything but that, they will void any warrenty on the trans. EVERY time I called about a problem with my TKO the FIRST question out of everyone's mouth was "what tranny fluid do you use?"
