I am looking to buy an 04 Cobra but I was also thinking about an 06 GT with s/c.

I am more interested in the KB but the intercooled procharger looks like a good choice also.

What trap speeds are these kits getting at the track?

I've trapped 125mph on 93 octane, no problem. Our program is real close to the out of the box program from KB. 11-12psi will yield around 500rwhp w/ the KB 2.4 kit.

Those numbers are impressive to say the least.

How does the KB compare to the procharger?

slightly lower numbers the procharger makes 450+ rwhp with 8-9 psi the kb needs 11 psi to do it. at wich point the centri will be over 500 rwhp

but you wont get the torque that a PD blower gives.

ok I decided I want to go with twin screw instead of a centri.

Do you guys think the KB is better than the Saleen?

I'm no expert on superchargers but I have done my research on both of these.IMO they are about the same.

KB is a 2400cc s/c and claim 850hp potential max boost of 25psi (I think there numbers are a bit high).
The kit runs about $5700 and is complete to get you up and running with about 440rwhp at 8-9psi.

Saleen is a 2300cc s/c and make no claims but I've been told by tunners that 25psi and 700hp is very reasonable number.Saleen sells the kits for 5700 also but can be found for $4795.kit comes complete with 3.5psi at about 400rwhp.Pulleys are available up to 13.5psi(that I've found).

I already put my order in for the saleen kit and should have it installed very soon.I picked the saleen for mainly one reason much cleaner looking setup looks factory only better and potential is more then enough.I'm only looking for about 450rwhp and the 7.5psi pulley should give me that. With everything I needed for the 7.5psi setup I'm spending about 6k.

they are not even CLOSE the saleen does not nearly have the potenti!l of the KB the inlet system on it is very restictive the intercooler is absolutly tiny as well.

the saleen will NEVER make 700 rwhp you would have a hard time goign much passed 500 with it.

the 9-10 psi pulleys on the saleen are giving about 450-460 rwhp and the 13 psi one gives about 500 rwhp but once you get there its prety much done.

Like I said I'm no expert on s/c.I do know engines and anything more then 500hp on the stock bottom end wont hold.KB claim of 850hp is also a bit out there also since I dont think the stock head will flow that much air. There is always a weak link somewhere.

Even ford racing went with higher flowing heads to get the 04 cobra to 690rwhp.

the kb kit will make 800-850 at the flywheel with race gas been done many times on the 4 valve cobras..

but you will need a built motor and the boost levle woudl be rediculous in the upper 20s
