i'am having a new motor build for my 1993 triple white conv. what would be the best style of rear end? the motor will be making about 550 hp. what gear ratio would be best? the car will be just a street machine.
You haven't really given us a lot of info, but here you go- A car with 3300 lb race weight will go about 125 mph in the 1/4 if it is making 500 horsepower. To go 125 on a 26" tire at 6000 rpm in 4th gear, you'd need a 3.73 rear end gear. With 3.55s you'd trap at about 5700.
