My 2006 has about 48,500 miles on her and I've been using 5W-20 like the user manual has recommended. Do any of you use anything different? And is it safe to start using a thicker oil once I hit a certain millage?
I have 2001 with 225000 miles on the original motor, and 2005 with 100000 on original motor. Always used motorcraft 5-20 and only motorcraft 5-20. I am not a believer in changing brands or viscosities.
I agree with armoore98 in sticking with the recommended oil per the manual. Motorcraft mixes quality materials, product integrity and customer satisfaction. I suggest continuing to use Motorcraft.
