i got an 88 mustang gt and i want to put the frpp b303 cam, its the cam for me and fits my application perfectly, i just dont know what springs to run, i was hoping someone could help me out, i was looking at running trick flows 5.0/5.8 spring upgrade kit, it lets you run a cam up to .542 lift but this cam is .480 lift.. is that too little? i need help..

I am not trying to be a smart ass but what does the word upto mean to you? In fact that spring may have too much seat pressure for you. I would say go to Comp cams and find a cam that is close to the same lift and see what spring they suggest. If you want to talk to someone there, call them and ask for Chris Padgett. I have dealt with him for many years for my stockers, he is very knowledgeable.

Knowing what heads you have would be a good start

"up to" means they can handle a maximum cam lift of .542, the cam i want is .480 lift, are those springs to strong to where the cam cant open the valve? and i have stock e7 heads

Stay away from the alphabet cams then, especially the b-cam

The lift measurement they give you is more in reference to a coil bind height... Like others we need to know what head, what retainer and a little more on the combo
