I just bought a 2000 GT about three months ago and Im getting ready to make my first mod. Im hooking up a SLP Loudmouth Cat back exhaust within the next two weeks. Im pretty excited, not because of the awesome sound but because this is my first ever mod. Hopefully everything goes smoothly. Im taking to an automotive hobby shop where I can use the lift and all of their facilities for 4 bucks an hour. I cant friggin wait.

I was wondering what your first mod may have been and your experience with it. :nice:

the first mod i made was in less than 24 hours that i had owned my mustang gt.

mod 1: 1pm - Got Flowmaster 40's and 3.5 inch dual exhaust tips.

mod 2: (same day as mod 1) k&n filter

On my GT, my first mod was made the day i brought the car home. I put on STainless Steel Bumper Inserts. I had them on so fast, everyone thought the car came that way from the Factory.

I've been adding mods here and there now, just last weekend I installed a Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-back. It sounds Bad Ass!!

First power mod was flow 40's after the break in, then got a K&N the same week... a year later CDC shaker (not that it counts for much, just more air flow I guess, even if its not ram air theres more air going to the filter) then steeda U/Ds. Too much money spent on style in between

I can't believe I am the first person here to do S - P - R - I - N - G - S as the first mod.

I fully intended to keep the car bone stock with the exception of springs to kill the 4x4 look. But with springs, you really need to shocks and struts for the ride quality. And then after it handles better, you really need to do control arms and sway bars to bolster the handling. And the mufflers are pretty retrictive, so a new catback is in order ... The next thing you know, I got what is in my sig.
