I finished welding in the passenger side floor pans and I'm looking for a good sealer to go over the welds. What kind do you guys like and where can I get it?
What I do is probably overkill but Ive never had any problems. When Im finished welding and cleanup the welds,I por 15 the welded area only. When possible front and back of welds.Let it dry for 24hrs and mix up duraglass and and apply thin coat of it both sides.Duraglass is water proof when set and very hard to sand,so dont get it to thick. When doing panel replacement I use a flanger and the duraglass makes a nice base coat.
3M brushable seam sealer shrinks and cracks...was frustrating when I used it. Got some Transtar Ultra Flex seam sealer and it was excellent. Comes in a tube and goes on smooth. Got it at an auto paint store.
