What would be better??

i've had the FIPK and loved what it did for my previous mustang. i also had a cai and didn't notice anything. since this is a combination and cheaper than the FIPK, do you think it'll be the same or will it be like a regular crappy cai.

What ever you do, avoid putting the air filter pickup inside the engine compartment. The disturbance from the fan makes airflow through the filter uneven & upsets the MAF readings. Some CAI kits have the same problem, hence the need to "clock the MAF" or roatate the MAF housing to find a spot with undisturbed airflow.

yes i agree... the only reason i noticed that throttle performance / overall smoothness was better was because when i installed the cai, it moved my filter into the fender. don't buy an expensive cai for any real gains.

ok, so both would give me the same gains?
the densecharger, i believe goes in the fenderwell, and I was going to cut out a PVC pipe leading into the fenderwell to place the FIPK on. i was just asking cause if i go the FIPK route, i'll be spending close to $100 more and if it's not worth it, then why bother.
