What would cause noises in the cooling system?

Guys-

What would be some causes of having "NOISES" tink-tink, metallic-audible & physical vibrations in the cooling system after head install? mostly heard and felt in the lower manifold @ the T-stat housing-manifold, Only after warm up-usually about 200 degrees. About the same time my E-fan turns on, mind you the i have a Mr. Gasket 180 T-stat in place.

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-help!

You need to pinpoint where it is comming from, you can use an extention from a ratchet, find where it is really comming from. It's probally a rocker or something.

Its coming dorectly from the T-stat housing and the where the lower manifold meets the housing. And it vibrates all the way to the upper radiator inlet!!!!!!!!!!!! Loud......
Did the compression test, came out good, no fluid in the spark plug holes/cylinders either-dude. Tested it with the snap on- H/G tester and it passed 3X... im soooooooooooooooooo lost, man-Im looking to sell the bitch! Im done and had it!

Check to see if the starter is loose..I had the situation happen to me and would have never guessed it was the starter, I just got under the car touching a couple of things when I found out it was that!...worth a try ..good luck!!

Question-how can the starter make noises in the cooling system? I'll check it, anything is worth a shot.... but i cant see how? do you?

Nope, never gets higher than 200.

I had noises coming form around the t-stat, like a metallic jingling! Maybe its not that but like you said its worth looking at..could be lucky! good luck.

yup! 4 stats.... 2 stants and 2 Mr. gaskets 180's
2 water pumps,
1 fluidyne rad
3 rad caps
2 power coolant flushes

And still got this ****ing noise.....

DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the answer to the miserable 10 week ****ing problem is-a HEAD GASKET on backwards on the passenger side........
im proud to say-Its corrected, finished and done....... AMEN!
