Hey guys, I'll be getting my car repainted soon and I need ideas for new headlights, as my stockers are looking quite crappy.

I was orginally going to go with the clear as I've seen many dark cars pull them off and they look great but then I started seeing more smoked headlights from BOI and they are looking sharp too.

So I'm back to square one....undecided.

To make it easier, I snapped some pictures for you guys. Allow me to first say the quality isn't great since they are from a camera phone and is in my backyard, but hopefully you get the idea.

So what do you all think? Smoked or clear? The rims I have are the non chrome Ultra Lite II's if that helps matter. They are pretty shiny if they are cleaned up but they are definitely not chrome.

Any opinions would be appreciated, thanks!

those pics are actually really good for a cell phone!

i prefer the clear ones. i remember a thread where people talked about how to clean up the yellowness in the headlights.

I'm with Ryan on this. Bosko's car pulls it off well. Go with smoked.

Does anyone have pics of Bosko's car? I saw the thread where he just mounted the Ultra Lite II's but those pictures he posted was when he had the stocker head lights.

inphiniti, your car looks mean as hell. If my rims were dark like yours, I would of jumped on the smokes a long time ago. But since they're silverish, I really don't know what to do. Are your back lights smoked by any chance as well?

If Bosko has some recent pics showcasing the smoked head lights with the Ultra Lite II's, then that's something I want to see....because our cars are exactly the same, lol.

Dayum....that looks pretty damn sweet. Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to see. Only thing that's different is that I still have the pony emblem on my car. That, and the chin spoiler but I can overlook those minor differences to get the bigger picture, ha.

Bosko, are your tail lights smoked too? Would you guys, including inphiniti, have pictures from the rear?

Those with the smoked headlights, I'm assuming you were glad you went that route? Any effects on lighting or anything like that? Any other minor issues with the BOI piece? I've heard if you want smoked headlights, those are the ones to get but some more opinions couldn't hurt, eh?

I'm currently leaning towards the smoked for obvious reasons. Thanks again for posting pics guys, I appreciate it!

I took a better shot of the rear but deleted it. for some other photos.

I don't have the rear lights smoked, but the only thing about the smoked headlights is it decreases light output. I countered this by putting in "Project Blind Em" TRUE HIDs. I am going to get some clear headlights So I have a smoked set and clear set

Here's a pic of my BOI smoked headlights. I've had them for 2-3 years now and they still look brand new. No leaks or any problems.

I probably will go with the smoked but does anyone have pictures of a dark green mustang with clears, just to give me an idea how that would look?

Thanks guys, you all have been pretty damn helpful!
