A couple of screws and a little bit of wire running? Charge him a 12 pack and call it a day.

And if they really paid $945 for it, they should seriously get their money back.

Wow...that's a seriously overpriced kit

I used this kit

IST Products

$40 for the harness, $75 for a computer and $35 for a stock MAF + intake tube setup off ebay. Worked like a charm. Took a few hours to wire. You do gotta tap into a few wires under the car so it's a little PITA getting there.

More than likely the Ebay harness is the IST harness.

It's fairly easy to install. However, if the car is not a cruise control car, you will need to buy a VSS sensor and add it. Make sure it's a CC car first.

As for labor? $75?

Full factory harness??

What year is the car and what year is the harness from??

Only a 1989 harness will work in an 86-88 Mustang

http://forums.stangnet.com/774455-91-harness-90-a.html

It explains why in there

If you are changing the entire harness, i think that would be a good price. It will take time to carefully unplug and reroute everything

The harness that connects to the computer goes out into the engine bay, but also has one plug that connects to the dash harness. Depending on the year, it may or may not interconnect.

But since you have an '89 harness, you should be all set if you are putting it into an 87-88

BTW, why did you say you were installing a granatelli mass air conversion kit when you have a factory '89 harness?

Make sure it has cruise control. I think Mass Air cars need to have the VSS added on the speedo cable. Speed density cars without cruise were not equipped with this.

I just did this a few weeks ago. I did it the right way, just like ITS I ran the wires over to the speed sensor . I also solder everything and heat shrink it all I pulled the front seats out and the center console also to run everything did a nice neat job I charged $150 plus parts, mass air plug, wire shrink wrap, wire loom, wire and tape.
