I am interested in getting more performance out of my car (NO WAY!). I perfer drag above anything else. Basically what would be an ideal set up to get the most out of my car without having to build up the engine.....I have an 04 GT

Currently I have a tuner and will be putting some 4.10 gears in the rear end, what else would you guys suggest if this was your car? The KB 2.1 should be coming in a few months but is there anything I need to do to prepare my car for it?

Basically what is going to give me the most bang for my buck
Open to any suggestions
Throttle Body?
Full Exhaust?

...I can take it. I think.

If you are serious about the Kenne Bell then look at a 70 to 75mm throttle body. They offer them as an add on to their kit if you just want wait and gert it all at once. If you don't have any exhaust upgrades and depending you your cars use you can go with a mid pipe with high flow cats or an off road pipe. Depending on your budget you can go with Bassani on the high end or Mac if you are on a budget. I have the Mac Prochamber on my car.

The blower will give you the most bang in your stock form. If you upgrade anything else you will need to look at the internals of the engine. Once you get above 400-425 HP the stock parts tend to give up.

Thats what I was thinkin for the engine, I read in a few places once you push past like 475 you start having problems, so i figuerd the KB at 9 or 10 PSI would be a nice upgrade without exceeding the limits

Also I was wondering if anyone knows stock size throttle bodys on the 04 Gt's

Reaching the limits of how much power I am comfortable making on stock internals I found myself asking the same question and I plan on doing some suspension mods they seem to make a very big difference, as well as weight reduction. I weighed in at 3350 with me in it last time I checked.

some suspension work can knock down your et's..control arms, shocks...etc...

But maybe, more importantly, if you're going to be dragging, you'll end up with slicks, then, possibly a chattered diff...or axles...so take a peek at beefing up your rear-end...

Suspension! K member, control arms, c/c plates, coil overs front and rear, rear upper and lower control arms, sub frame connectors, bigger rear sway bar, no sway bar in the front. gears, rear diff girdle, weld the the axle tubes to the 3rd member, torque boxes, and some sort of roll bar/cage. Just my .02. Good luck with the build!

I'd skip the gears entirely if you're going with a 2.1KB but that's just my opinion, the money is better spent elsewhere.

I'd focus on a nice quality exhaust (Bassani, SLP, Magnaflow, etc.) and suspension. oh, and sub-frame connectors are pretty much a must on these cars so look into that if you haven't already
