I have started looking at turbo kits for fox body cars and they are $3000 without a turbo...thats just piping and intercooler. What would you say a twin turbo kit for a classic would be worth? I ahve a guy locally that can build a setup for me (lots of work) or I can try and do it myself. Im trying to find a resonable price before I ask him how much he wants to do it...

What motor? What body? 67+ can use shorties forward and down with an 8.2 block. Any other and headers need to be custom. Pre-turbo is the challenge. The rest is not too much harder than a fox body. Who are you thinking of building it? Maybe check for pre-turbo only price if you are able to finish it. Somebody on TM made a log set-up from his longtubes. Looked pretty easy. They are not a work of art, but look very funtional.

its a roller forged 302... I was looking to see if anyone made a kit for a classic but I cant find anyone. If I get a set of headers, the rest is cake. We have the tools and I ahve a buddy who can do all the high temp coating for me.

I would have rather had a turbo(s),but like you said, nobody made a kit, some place wanted for a single, $5500+ and I had to send my car to the mid west for about a month.

Thanks. It is still in mock up stages so it hasn't been cleaned up yet. Within the next couple of months it should be running hopefully.
