hey all, I need to know what would all the parts be, to switch from a 5.0 to a early cobra engine (96-98) Would this be more difficult then just building a 331 and sticking it in there, time and money wise? And would I be able to keep the t5?

Thanks josh

your better off with a 302 based motor.. why step down to the 3.55 bore of a modular when you can have 4.00 stock bore of a 5.0

Yep, sad to say it, but I'll agree here in 4.6 land. You have a strong platform now to go with a built option that is going to net your more in the end, with a lower cost as well.

way easier to do the 331. you would have less stress to do a b/s 351 to 408 than trying to swap platforms.

Think about it wiring, computer, clearances, cooling, steeing, mounts, driveshaft length, cable crossover, fuel fittings, and i think that you would want a new tranny anyway to handle the torture of your right foot.
